The new Meridian Mall The B-12 Store will offer vitamin shots

OKEMOS – People associate shopping for clothes or food with the Meridian Mall, but a shot of vitamins?

Soon people will be able to get them too.

Preventive health and wellness company, The B-12 Store, plans to hold a grand opening this weekend, Liberty Township owner Diane Pearl said.

“I’m super excited,” she said. “I am excited to begin.”

The B-12 store is a full service injectable vitamin store. In addition to vitamin injections, he offers consultations and oral vitamins to help people boost their energy, immunity and weight loss, Pearl said.

“And just give people a general sense of well-being,” Pearl said.

A new business will be opening in the Meridian Mall next to GameStop called The B-12 Store, seen here on Saturday April 2, 2022, where preventative health care services can be obtained such as vitamin injections.

Some of the vitamins available include B-12, C, D-3 and B-7, as as well as minerals like magnesium. The Meridian Mall store will join other Michigan locations in Saginaw, Novi and Ann Arbor, according to company website.

Pearl began the process of opening a store last summer, trying to find a suitable location and learning the ins and outs. By trade, she is a family nurse practitioner; she worked for several years in a family medicine clinic and her entire adult life was dedicated to health and wellness, she said.

All of the people she has hired for the Meridian Mall store have more than 10 years of healthcare experience, so she is confident the transition will be smooth for them, Pearl said.

“There will always be someone fired on staff,” she said.

Through her new store and injectable vitamins, she hopes to help people with their sleep, energy levels, menstrual cramps and aging, as well as help them feel better in general.

When it comes to taking vitamins, she says, a small percentage of a vitamin is usually absorbed by the body when taken orally, while an injection into the muscle results in a much higher percentage of absorption.

People don’t need a doctor’s appointment to visit the B-12 store. There is a questionnaire that visitors fill out to make sure they are a good candidate for injections. According to the injection, “everyone can benefit from vitamins,” she said.

Pearl said the site near GameStop had undergone cosmetic renovations, including new floors, fresh wall paint and the addition private rooms to make patients feel comfortable. She wants people to have a serene and relaxing environment, she said.

“We want to take every opportunity to help you strive to be the best ‘you’ you can be,” Pearl said.

Meridian Mall general manager Dan Irvin said the mall has a vetting process to attract credible, quality tenants and the B-12 store is one of a few new tenants that have come into the center commercial, thanks to leasing manager Shawn Dunham.

He said the B-12 store is a “cool” concept and the first of its kind for the mall. The old CNG closedand the mall has had nothing like it in personal health care.

He believes that when people understand the health benefits and take the time to meet the staff at the B-12 Store, the store will be well received.

“It will be a great addition,” Irvin said.
